Yes, everyone. I know it's time. It's The Time. The time to finally step back and think.

Why did I start blogging about Club Penguin? There are many reasons, but the biggest truth is that I wanted fame. I wanted to be noticed around the island, and not blend into the sea of colors like an ordinary penguin. I wanted to be crowded, I wanted penguins to scream my name, and most of all, I wanted to be popular.

My idol back then was Fever (or as be used to be known, Watex.) I was heartbroken when his site was mysteriously shut down. I later found out that he had been posting about a way to get free membership- and break Club Penguin terms and conditions by doing so. I was astounded. How could a blogger do something so awful?

I soon learned that there is no end to the terrible things bloggers can do. They can terrorize others, hack into their blogs, spam and hate, steal identities, steal pictures, and countless other things. I felt very scared and alone. Some of these things even happened to me, and I had to go through it by myself, for the most part.

Suddenly, during a random Google search, I came across one of my current friends' sites. This introduced me to the gigantic community of Club Penguin bloggers. In a heartbeat, I knew that I wasn't alone. I had others- people who shared my dreams. People who shared my feelings. I quickly became friends with a great number of amazing bloggers.

Through this, I grew.
You see- and here's the secret.
There are ALWAYS going to be bad things happening. There are ALWAYS going to be bad people. You may feel like you're all alone, or you're helpless. But remember this- there are ALWAYS going to be good things happening. There are ALWAYS going to be good people. Your job in life is to find the good in the bad, the one-in-a-million lucky shine. This is what makes life worth living.

I discovered this through blogging about a virtual life site online. It sounds preposterous, I know, but it's true. This is what kept me blogging when I doubted. The good people- the lovely comments supporting us. The people who added us to our blogrolls and gave us advice. These were like a life raft in the midst of a roaring ocean, and I clung to these.

But here we are, at the end. This was like a blogging roller coaster ride. There were ups and downs, and uncomfortable twists, and dazzling swoops. Now we are at the end. I am at the end of my ride, and I am boarding off. Others, at this very second, are boarding on. I have to make room for them, don't I?
I am leaving now. I am not going to blog about Club Penguin anymore. I will STILL PLAY CLUB PENGUIN! But I am not going to blog about it anymore, because I have too much going on in my life to have reason to get up early and stress over posts. There is a whole world out there! Get up from this computer for a second and look around you. Look out the window. See the beauty in the life all around you!

Mission Sneak Peek!

Hey penguins! The new mission is coming out at the end of May, which is only about a month away.. Here's a sneak peek of our favorite fiend, Herbert:Wow. My prediction of this is Herbert wants to show us something that he's going to do. Maybe he set up a trap for the PSA agents, hid a video camera in the place where the trap was, and made sure everyone was watching the agents when they got trapped. OR maybe he has a really evil plan, and is making sure when he puts it in action,. he's going to tape it to make fun of us penguins. Are my predictions too far fetched? What are your predictions?

Mine Mayhem

Being a tour guide seemed like an easy job to me. For a good 250 coins every month, you led penguins around town, teaching them about the island and helping them learn their way around. I liked it a lot- it made me feel important. Like I was a big part of the island.

That morning, I was at my post, early as usual. The Ski Village was already bustling with penguins.
I held up my sign- and like magic, penguins began to appear. The tricks of a tour guide- always seem excited, happy, and interesting, never bored, and penguins will come your way.

I started my tour at the Plaza and led them around the island. I told them about the history of places, how to play the games, fun activities to do, and everything else I could think of. I hardly even looked at the group as I led them around.
Finally, we had a rest stop at the Coffee Shop. I was teaching them how to play Mancala when I had the urge to look back. None of the penguins seemed interested.

All right. This tour was officially more boring than a math class. I needed to make it more exciting. But how? I racked my mind for a part of the island that I usually didn't tour. The answer came to me in a flash- the Mine!

"Come on, everyone, we're going to get some adventure!" I exclaimed eagerly. "We're going to... the Mine!" I bounced out of the Coffee Shop. The penguins were surprised at my sudden excitement, but they followed me out and to the Mine.
"This is the Mine Shack," I said. "It can be... a little dangerous sometimes." Right now, it wasn't so safe, too. Earth Day supplies were strewn around, and hammers and nails and screwdrivers were all over the place. "Watch your step."
"Can we go inside?" a boy asked curiously.
I racked my brains. I wasn't supposed to take penguins inside the Mine Shack, expecially during part preparations. But this group deserved it. And after all, what could happen? "Sure," I said, and led them in. "Welcome to the Mine..."

We went inside. The group looked around, interested. The deep, dark cave walls loomed overhead, and stalactites and stalagmites were scattered over the ceiling and floor. Lanterns cast small shadows on all of the penguins.
"This is deep, man," a hippie said, grinning. "I mean, groovy. Peace out, sista!"
"Too dry in here," said a Water-Suit Sprayer. "Time for WATER!" He started to spray water into the Mine.
"Hey, I don't think that's a good idea," I said. "Please stop."
The guy hit the stop button, but it didn't work. It had jammed up! The water kept on pouring out- and it showed no signs of ending. Penguins started to scream and yell as the water reached up to their elbows.

"Stop!" I cried, choking on the water, which was now above my head. "STOP IT!" The current rocked through the tunnels, swirling us all around in a gigantic whirlpool. We swirled around the Mine, all desperately trying to stay above the water.
Rocks from the walls began to dislodge themselves and fly our way. I screamed as one narrowly missed me, and lodged itself in the opening. My eyes opened wide with horror. The opening had been blocked out! We couldn't escape!

Suddenly, the water began to go down. The penguin had finally turned his water-sprayer off, and we all sank to the ground, choking and sputtering on the water we had accidentally swallowed. It was dark- too dark. Much, much too dark.

"What's going on?" someone cried.

"We're trapped," I said. "A rock got stuck in the passageway, and we can't get out!"
"We'll just have to wait and be rescued," someone else said calmly.

I felt a jolt of fear in my stomach. "We can't," I said slowly. "Because... our air supply has been blocked off. We have an hour... and that's it. If our time runs out..." I couldn't finish my sentence. It was too terrible to think about.

"Quick, into the next room," I said. We all rushed in- but it was just as dark.
The Hidden Lake was just as bad.
I sat down and began to shiver. Before I knew it, I was feeling scared and unhappy, and on the verge of tears. I doubted I would see another day- or my puffles, or my friends, or...
"Wait!" a scuba diver cried. "Wait a second... I have an idea!" We all looked up at him, but I didn't have high hopes.

"We can swim to land," he said, slowly. "I've got my scuba suit, and a few extras. Let's go!"

I could hardly believe it. We were going to make it through alive! Slowly we all headed into the Underwater and started swimming. It was a long way. Even though we were tired, even though we thought we couldn't do it, we kept on swimming.
Finally, we broke the surface, and all crowded onto the beach. "We did it!" I cheered.

The crowd looked at each other ruefully. "I'm tired," one penguin said. "I'm going home," another said. They all left, one by one, until it was just me. I was just as exhausted... but happy. I went to the Ski Lodge to relax. What a day it had been!

Earth Day Celebrations!

Hey penguins! Sorry I didn't post about this earlier, but here I am now, with all the info you need to know.

Club Penguin is building a Recycling Plant in honor of Earth Day! A new gadget made by our favorite inventor, Gary the Gadget Guy, (AKA G) is being showcased in the new room. It turns already used objects like pizza boxes, into something much more useful. In addition to the Recycling Plant near the Mine, a community garden is being planted! :) Also, the workers are making a path from the Forest to the Mine, so it is easier to reach the Mine! The Earth Day Celebration lasts from April 22-25.

I can't wait! It sounds so cool!

Head over to the Dock. Throw paint at the big easel (by throwing snowballs!)
After a while, you'll see a treasure chest begin to form. A spring will pop up, carrying the free item- a Red Propeller Hat!

In the Snow Forts, there is a big door leading to "A Silly Place." Go through it!
You'll find yourself in the members-only Silly Place. It's like a comedy club for penguins!
Be sure to pick up the free item, the King Jester Hat!

Hi everyone! Gosh, I can't believe I've come back to the United States of America. It seems so much different to Egypt, and now that I've gotten used to the noise, the dust, and the rampaging tourists, America seems a lot quieter.

Need Help Finding Aunt Arctic?

Hi everyone! I know, from all the penguins screaming for "AA" and storming the Penguin Play Awards, that a LOT of you out there want to meet Aunt Arctic. Well, I met her a few minutes ago and I want to share some tips on how to meet Aunt Arctic!

1. Aunt Arctic is a green penguin (Cafina-green) penguin with a light pink toque and narrow black glasses.
2. Aunt Arctic likes to go on servers from 4-5 stat points. Some of them include Freezer, Alpine, Yukon, and Bobsled. Since there are so many penguins, she's always surrounded!
3. Aunt Arctic always stays in Penguin Play Award areas. This means she will only appear at the Plaza, the Stage, and the Backstage areas.

4. Aunt Arctic usually uses perfect grammar and capitalization when she speaks, so you can tell her apart from other penguins. Unfortunately, she's usually drowned out. Be smart. Use the "Users in Room" option to find her!
5. While many penguins use "trackers" to find Aunt Arctic, they almost never work. I suggest server hopping- logging in to each server, checking if she's there, then logging out and trying a different server. It may take a while, but eventually you'll find her!

6. When you do meet Aunt Arctic, open up her player card and click on the little brown box. You can get an awesome Aunt Arctic background, which looks like this:
7. Try the French servers! You can meet her and there are only a few penguins around her. In French she is called 'Tante Arctic'. ~tip by Whizzbobrox

Hi everyone! Well, the Oscars of Club Penguin... the PENGUIN PLAY AWARDS... are on the island! Many rooms are decorated extravagantly, with flashing cameras and glittering lights. Let's check out the action!

First of all, the Plaza is teeming with actors on the red carpet!
Step up to the voting booth to vote...
Here are the Penguin Play Award Nominees! Let's go for a little variety here :) Vote for your favorites of the category.

The Stage
Inside, tens of penguins have gathered to watch the awards. The Stage is a busy spot!
If you go to the Backstage (members only) actors and actresses can relax, drink coffee, and get their hair done. Be sure to pick up a free Video Camera and Penguin Play Award!
The Pizza Parlor
Tired of posing for the paparazzi? Come to the elegantly decorated Pizza Parlor for a refined meal. It really looks wonderful...
The Dock
The press has set up a huge camp at the Dock. There are cameras, TV's, drinks, and much more! Be sure to pick up a Press Hat.
The Ski Mountain
A few small screens have been set up here. If the Dock is too busy for you, this is the place for a media member to be!
WOW! What do you think about the Penguin Play Awards?
I think they are pretty cool, but the nominees are almost exactly the same as last year. I wish we got to have more new plays, like Secrets of the Bamboo Forest and Norman Swarm Has Been Transformed. I really do appreciate the THREE free items (though I got one of them last year!)

Puffle Rescue Tips

Hey penguins! Puffle Rescue is out, and penguins are pushing and shoving to save the puffles. Screenhog, a Club Penguin Community Blog blogger, released some useful tips on the game. I took a look, and I decided that they ARE pretty useful, so I'm putting them here! Remember, these are SCREENHOG'S tips, not mine! Well, here goes:

1. Look before you leap... or swim. It helps to look ahead and plan your jumps. Remember that while you only have a little time to act, looking ahead and waiting for the best chance works well.

2. Sometimes 'close' is close enough. If you mistime your jump, or if you need to make a fast leap, you can still land safely even if your aim isn't perfect. You'll grab onto moving platforms automatically if you're close enough...

3. Watch for new challenges. At first, each level you reach will introduce a new challenge. Be cautious - there are tons of break-away platforms and ice chunks, along with sharks, bumpers, cannons and more. Pay close attention until you master all of them...

4. Last but not least, a few hidden tricks... Have you tried standing on the mine carts until they leave the screen yet? Try it out! And if it gets too dark for you in the mine levels, remember that standing on the black and white check points will give you more light.

Good, right? He's smart. I would have never figured this stuff out on my own. Well, I knew about number three. Good luck saving those puffles!

Hi everyone! The new game, Puffle Rescue, is OUT! Here's a quick guide on how to play this fantastic game.

First of all, go to the Mine to play the game. Walk up to the booth and click the bulletin board.

There are 3 levels: Blue Puffle, Pink Puffle, and Black Puffle.
(Only members can play Pink and Black Puffle)

Blue Puffle:
Jump on the moving ice chunks and ice bergs to get to the Blue Puffle! Watch out for sharks and other dangers.

Pink Puffle:
Jump on the moving mine carts and boxes to get to the Pink Puffle! Beware of boxes which will collapse, and other dangers.

Black Puffle:
Swim through the water to get to the Black Puffle! Move fast, and use fans and icebergs to keep from sinking. Beware of squids and other sea monsters!
Here's a cheat. If you go to the first level of Black Puffle, get the black puffle and return to the starting iceberg. DON'T FINISH THE LEVEL! Wait, and a squid will appear. Use the bubbles (hop on them) to follow the squid. You'll soon see an entrance:
Go through it. You'll be in the Underwater Room! Be sure to pick up the Moss Key pin while you're at it.Questions about the game? Just comment and I'll answer them!

Hey penguins! Well, most of you have seen Peggie's post on the new game coming soon. 'Save the puffles'. Hm...does this have anything to do with Rockhopper's missing puffle, Yarr?

I was wondering, so I checked out the Club Penguin Community Blog. There WAS something new! Here are some excerpts from the blog I thought are key information:

There's going to be more underground exploration happening near the end of the week.
There's also some talk that other puffles aren't where they normally are.
All of this stuff just might be connected to that new game we told you about.

Hi everyone! I decided to come up with some ideas for a new story! Unfortunately, I can't think of any. I already did a story on Herbert, so all Secret-Agent stuff is ruled out.

Can you help me think of ideas for a new story?
It can be ANYTHING! (Well, it should be about something in Club Penguin.) I know that all of the readers of this blog are SUPER CREATIVE from the awesome comments we get!

Can anyone come up with a few ideas? A few sentences is all you need to write. I'll feature the best few ideas on the blog, and use them in my next story Of course you'll get credit. If you have time, YOU can be in the story, too!

ORANGE PUFFLES ARE OUT!They have been added to the Pet Shop, the puffle postcard, the puffle catalog, and pretty much everything puffle. In other words, they're everywhere!

To adopt your own puffle, go to the Pet Shop and click on the Adopt a Puffle catalog. Flip through to the back, to the Orange Puffle page.
Here are all the Orange Puffle's actions. It loves to sleep and eat, and that may be why it's a little on the heavier side. But it's a cute, buck-toothed, cowlick-haired puffle... check it out!(click to enlarge)

New start screen...I think those puffles are cute, but they have a serious saliva-control problem. LOL! They're adorable!

Hi everyone! Well, according to the new newspaper, Orange Puffles are coming out on February 26. That's TOMORROW!
"Puffle experts" said that the Orange Puffles love to "play, dance, and EAT!" No wonder these wacky puffles are from the Box Dimenson...

Hey penguins! Well, first of all, Club Penguin has definitely released the orange puffle. Know why? Because there is an orange puffle PLUSH TOY! The orange puffle plush toy is in Series 4 Pet Puffles. It will be released at stores including Disney Stores, Toys "R" Us, Target, and the CP Online Shop. Plus there are other toys like Limited Edition Penguins and Mix 'N Match Figures coming out. Here's a picture of the plush orange puffle toy:

Puffle Party '10!

Hi everyone! The Puffle Party of February 2010 is here! It's just as good as last year's, and maybe even better... with BRAND-NEW free items, events, rooms, and more, it has the best kind of fun in store!

Free Items

The first free item, which everyone can get, is the Puffle Hat. You can find it in the Plaza.
The second free item, which is members-only, is the Puffle Jacket. You can find it in the Puffle Show Room (accessible from the Ski Village.)

Members-Only Puffle Show
The show can be reached from the Ski Village. Enter the tent that reads "Puffle Show".
It's a spectacular sight!
To enter your puffle in a contest or see their ranking, first take your puffle for a walk. Then stand very close to the contest, and your puffle will immediately start to participate!

Puffle-Themed Rooms
(note: these are pictures from French servers)
The Red Puffle Room is the Cove. Head there to surf and act like a good ol' fashioned pirate. Arrr!
The Yellow Puffle Room is the Lighthouse. Head there to read Shakespeare and view fine art. Remember to get your portrait done!
The Green Puffle Room is the Lighthouse Beacon. Head there to do acrobatics and play pranks on people. Watch out for that flying puffle!
The Blue Puffle Room is the Forest. Head there to jump around in the ball pit, or toss around a ball. The Pink Puffle Room is at the Iceberg. Head there to jump rope and bounce on the trampoline!

Hey penguins! The new newspaper is OUT (yay!) and now, luckily, we can find out more about the puffle-y stuff that's going to be going on at the Puffle Party.

#1-A member puffle show will be held in the Ski Village. It includes an challenging obstacle course...

#2-It's been confirmed! Orange puffles have been sighted all over Club Penguin, according to the newspaper. A carrot colored puffle...this means only one thing! A NEW ORANGE PUFFLE! Yipee!

#3-If any of you do the word searches on the newspaper, I do, it's fun, you might have noticed that even the word search has to do with puffles!

Hi everyone! Well, being the crazy blogger I am, I got up at 5:30 in the morning to see if the Puffle Party was out (CP said it was going to be released early).

Well, looks like it's not here yet, folks...

The good news (LITERALLY) is that the newspaper came out on Wednesday! You can learn all about puffles, the Puffle Party, puffle rumors, and more puffle-y stuff in there ;)

Hi everyone! Well, remember when last week the updates were released early? Many penguins sent in happy letters to Club Penguin, and quite a few penguins sent in bug reports, so Club Penguin was able to squash them early.

It's going to be called Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force: Herbert's Revenge. It's going to have all the fun features you liked from the first one... but with lots of BRAND-NEW adventures and secrets!

Hi everyone! Well, I have BREAKING NEWS- there are ORANGE PUFFLES in Club Penguin!

As I was checking the Box Dimension while searching for puffle party boxes, I realized all the plants were gone. I waited for a bit, and then I saw an ORANGE PUFFLE!
I was also earning money fishing from the Ski Lodge, and I also spotted an orange puffle there.
Now, for the video :) My friend Saraapril made a big discovery. Remember last year's Party Video? Well, Club Penguin updated it... and there's an ORANGE PUFFLE in it!Full credit to Saraapril in Club Penguin for this picture!

Secrets of the Bamboo Forest

Hi everyone! The new play, Secrets of the Bamboo Forest, is absolutely amazing.
It takes place somewhere in Asia, with a set of wonderful characters ranging from a Phoenix Queen to a Monkey King!
In order to cross the bridge, you need the magical feather in the Lighthouse Beacon.
Return, stand on the white-marble block, and the bridge will pop up.
Cross it to receive a free Phoenix Queen background!
One last thing- if you have all the pieces to the Guardian Dog costume and wave, you turn into a statue!

Newspaper Release!

Hi everyone! Club Penguin has been able to squash the bugs that kept the newspaper from running, so it's out now. Here's the scoop on the upcoming events:

The new play, Secrets of the Bamboo Forest, is coming up on February 12. There will be many new costumes, from a monkey to a phoenix- and one of the characters even has a special power! The actors will have to leave the stage to search for a special treasure- so get ready for it tomorrow!
The much-loved Puffle Party kicks off on February 19. It's going to be HUGE! It's going to sport a new room for white puffles, and also a members-only event to show off their puffles' talents. Keep an eye out for any *new* kinds of puffles...

Hi everyone! Have you heard about the major snowstorms slamming the Northeast this week and last week? For us here, it snowed a good 10 inches- but the roads were cleared up pretty quick. Today it's snowing 12 inches (A FOOT!) and it's a...

We all knew about it since Monday, but no one at school knew it would actually happen until now! Outside my window, it's still snowing hard. If this keeps up, we could possibly have a delayed opening on Thursday (and miss my science midterm!) That would be good :D

Hey penguins! I'm really happy, because Club Penguin just released something that EVERYONE could do, however small, it's still good, and it's buying flags!

1. The Puffle Party arrives in Club Penguin on February 19th, ending on the twenty fifth. Does anyone remember last year's party? It was a huge success. I'm hoping this one will be too!

2. The Secrets of the Bamboo Forest...does that sound mysterious? I think so. It comes out on the Stage February twelfth. A legendary Golden Feather and a daring Monkey King...sounds interesting.

Do we need to be puffle owners to be part of this party?
You don't have to own a puffle, but hopefully you enjoy being around them! Of course, we do encourage puffle owners to bring their puffles to the party... there may be activities for the little creatures...

Is there anything we should do to prepare for this event?
Practice your snowball tossing skills! Also, if you own a puffle, make sure to take good care of it.

Can we expect any surprises?
Every time we plan a party we try to add a few new things and this party's no exception. But if we told you more than that, it wouldn't be a surprise...

Club Penguin Art

Hi everyone! Over the course of time, I, like a lot of other penguins, have made Club Penguin Fan Art! Some of them I drew by hand on the computer, and others I made out of pictures found on Club Penguin.

I really am bored right now, so I've decided to show you a few of them! Here we go...

This is probably my first Club Penguin computer painting, which I did on ArtPad. It reminds me of Hawaii, and the beach, and the sunset.

Another computer painting, and probably my favorite. This is probably Cafina and her puffle Vinci, because they are both really good artists!

This is a comic that I did on Paint. It's about Cafina's ice cream greediness, but I know it doesn't really make much sense :D Click to enlarge (and read!)

This is a collage that I did on Paint and touched up with PhotoStudio 5.5. I tried to collect all the aspects of Club Penguin and put them together as one- and I also took pictures of random penguins to capture all the unique styles and personalities on the site!You can actually get this as a desktop background! Hi everyone! Well, it's update time (FRIDAY!) My computer isn't letting me upload my pictures... so instead I'll tell you, and fix the problem when I come back from school!

1. Mine Caves are closed. No more splashing underwater for us! :(

2. New pin at the Pet Shop! It's a Speaker Pin.

3. MASSIVE Night Club Parties! The more penguins, the wilder it gets. The Club also changes to what color most penguins are wearing. More penguins wearing blue, it will turn blue, more penguins wearing black, it will turn black, etc.

Cave Expedition Update & Something At the Nightclub

Hey penguins! Well, the Cave Expedition is coming along really nicely, and Peggie and I are working on something SPECIAL that's extremely cool...Anyway, make sure that you've finished exploring the caves and the underwater rooms by Thursday, because then we have to wave them goodbye.

Also: there's something that's going to happen at the Nightclub on Friday. I'm not sure exactly what, but I'm fairly sure it's going to be pretty sweet.

You Decide: Ice Carnival!

Hey penguins! Wow, there has been so much stuff going on lately...and to top it off, from January 29th to February 14th, Quebec, Canada, hosts a winter celebration called Carnival!

There's going to be a CLUB PENGUIN area in the Carnival, and an award winning ice artist will carve an ice sculpture. And guess what? WE get to decide which sculpture he's going to carve! Cool, huh?

The first one-The Handstand. A brown penguin doing a one-flippered handstand! It has 16% of the votes, and here's what it looks like:
The second one-The Rocker. An orange penguin with a blue Mohawk rocking out! It has 58% of the votes and is in the LEAD!And the last-Winter Fun! A purple penguin wearing a pink coat and has a white puffle on her head. This is my favorite. It has 26% of the votes. Not bad...What are you going to vote for? Tell us in comments!

Mine Caves Party Guide!

Hi everyone! Remember the past two weeks' Mine mystery? Rockslides, cave entrances, and other mind-boggling stuff? Well, now almost all the answers have been uncovered in a magnificent Mine quest! Let's go!

Step #1
Go to the Mine. Pick up a hard hat if you don't have one, and proceed into the caves!
Step #2
Once you're in the digging room, throw some snowballs into the machine for power.
Step #3
When you've gotten enough light, click on the drilling sign. This should pop up:

Pick a spot and start to dig!
Step #5
Every time you find a piece of the amulet, you should move to another spot and drill there. When you're done, you'll get an amulet pin to wear!
Step #6
To the right, the caves have opened up. Go through!
Step #7
Has Club Penguin ever made a room as beautiful as the Mine Cave? It's full of dazzling jewels, sparkling waterfalls, and mystery.
Step #8
Head over to the "For Sale" sign to purchase your own Deep-Sea Diving Suit.
Step #9
Only 50 coins? It's a bargain- snap it up while you can!

Step #10
Dance with the Deep-Sea Diving Suit to swim.
Step #11
Go down into the water of the cave. You'll see an opening, so go through it.

I take back what I said about the cave being the prettiest room. Surely Underwater are the most spectacular sights!

Be sure to grab the free Underwater background, too.

Try throwing a snowball. It turns into a bubble and splats on your friends' heads!
Isn't today's adventure amazing? All of the rooms are pretty cool, especially the Underwater, and there are a bunch of free items (more than there usually are at parties!). The Underwater is one of my FAVORITE ROOMS now- but I wish nonmembers could enjoy it, too.

A Closer Look at the Mine Mystery

Hi everyone! Well, regarding the mystery down at the Mine... I have done a lot of research into the papers, the area around it, and all over the site. Here's all the info I have collected:

The first mysterious happening at the Mine was the small rockslide that took place on January 8.
The next Mine event? A rock blocking off a hole in the Mine wall on January 15!

Many penguins came to drill into the hole, and soon enough a whole workforce began to expand the hole and clear out the Mine.
On January 21, the hole was finally opened up and a secret cave was discovered!
The newspaper ran an article in the "Help Wanted" section asking for drillers to report to the Mine for a cave expedition starting January 22.
Rory the construction penguin advised penguins to hurry over to help. If the caves were found unsafe, they would be shut down on January 28 to be made more stable.
On January 20, the Community Blog featured a sneak peek of the Mine when the rocks were finally cleared away.

A brief history of the Mine... no one knows who built the ancient Mine. It is old and rusty but still holds up- it is clearly the work of master builders. It is far older than even the Town, but no paths lead to it.

Some penguins claim to have spotted "gold dust" and there are rumors of a "golden puffle", but nothing has been proven for sure.

Through the glass in the Underground Pool (part of the Mine) you can see the ocean, which leads to many other puzzling questions.
One of the more important ones: how far underground are we, really? And if there are breaks in the walls, are we truly safe underground?

Cafina's Corner-Parachuting!

Hey penguins! It's been a long time since we've had a new Cafina's Corner, so give it up for Cafina's Corner-Parachuting!

Cafina's Corner-Parachuting!

Parachuting is (obviously) best done in the sky! To be more specific and for those penguins who do not know how to parachute, go to the Beacon and the Jet Pack launch area, and just jump off!
Here are some helpful tips on parachuting:

1. ALWAYS, always, always, always remember to get your parachute puffed up before jumping! This is VERY important for safety reasons. Just remember this: If you want to die or spend about a year in the hospital, don't puff up your parachute. If you don't, well, puff up your parachute!

2. If you're not so sure you want to parachute, try observing others who parachute. They might have some cool tricks for you to learn when you parachute.

3. If you're still not sure you want to parachute, speak to a professional. You can learn a LOT from those penguins!

I chose parachuting because it's a fun (though not so safe) sport. At first I thought to choose diving, but for penguins, they don't need tips on diving, they're just brilliant without 'em.

Club Penguin Replies to Haiti Letter!

Hi everyone! Well, you know that us at The Awesome Penguins really care about Haiti. The 7.0 earthquake that struck near a major city, Port-au-Prince, killed hundreds of thousands of people, and we are going to do something to help!

My friend Boondangle and I wrote a letter to Club Penguin asking to help with Haiti (under Boondangle's name), and here it is:

Dear Club Penguin,

Hello! I am a huge fan of your site, and a big fan of Coins for Change. It is an amazing program that helps people and animals all over the world- but of course you already know this. :)

Now, to get to the point: I am sure you have heard about the huge 7.0 earthquake in Haiti that devastated the already-poor region. I have tried to find ways to donate, but my parents do not trust their credit cards to just any site.

I think Club Penguin should host a small program to help Haiti. I think this would be a great way for penguins who wanted to donate to help. :) If this is impossible or difficult to do, it's perfectly fine if you don't want to waste time on it.

But please do consider my idea! Thank you for your time and patience, and KEEP ON BEING AWESOME! Thanks :)

Hello Boondangle,

Thank you so much for your wonderful email, we truly appreciate your caring words for people in Haiti.

Between December 11 and 21, we encouraged our players to celebrate change by donating their time and the coins they earn playing games in the virtual world of Club Penguin to make a difference in the real world.

Our third annual Coins for Change was a huge success, and we watched with pride as kids worked together and showed their passion for helping others. From playing games to earn extra coins they could donate to throwing fundraising parties in their igloos, everyone stepped up to do their part.

In the end, more than 2.9 million players donated in excess of 4 billion coins.

Those donations to kids who are sick, kids who are poor and the environment served as votes to determine how a $1 million contribution is divided up amongst some valuable projects. One of those projects actually involved a group called 'Partners in Health', which is in Haiti. This program was actually the recipient of both 'Kids who are Poor' and 'Kids who are Sick' categories.

Currently, the money that players contributed through the Coins for Change program is helping Haitians! This money ($165,000 Canadian dollars will go to a nutrition program to feed thousands of malnourished and at-risk children in Haiti; $157,500 Canadian dollars will help pay for critical health care and treatment programs for impoverished children in Haiti.) is already working for the people of Haiti.

Hi everyone! You may heard about the terrible news about the earthquake in Haiti. This earthquake was a 7/10 on the Richter scale and happened close to a city where 2 million people lived.

Thousands of people are injured or dead. The country's medical supplies are all used up. People are reduced to lying on the streets and waiting for help:

Buildings (including the President's home!) have been reduced to rubble:
As we speak, other countries are sending food and medical supplies to Haiti. But will they be fast enough? My school is raising a fund to help the people of Haiti- and you can help, too!
